2-Pack Epoxy Flooring & Line Marking – 750m2
The Challenge
The William Adams Dandenong workshop required a durable flooring solution capable of withstanding the demands of a busy industrial environment. With heavy equipment, machinery, and daily workshop traffic, the existing concrete floor had become difficult to maintain and was showing signs of wear commonly associated with high-use industrial facilities.
Like many workshops, dirt, dust, and workshop debris were continually collecting on the floor, making it difficult to keep the space clean and presentable. The porous concrete surface also trapped contaminants, increasing maintenance requirements and making routine cleaning less effective.
The team at William Adams wanted a flooring solution that would:
- Withstand heavy equipment and daily operational traffic
- Improve the overall appearance of the workshop
- Make cleaning and maintenance easier
- Create a safer and more organised workplace
- Provide clearly defined pedestrian walkways for staff and visitors

The Solution
To address these challenges, we worked closely with the William Adams team to design and install a high-performance epoxy flooring system tailored to the demands of their workshop.
After assessing the environment and expected traffic levels, we recommended a durable four-coat epoxy system designed to provide long-term protection and performance.
The epoxy coating created a seamless, hard-wearing surface that offers excellent resistance to abrasion, impact, dust generation, and everyday workshop wear
To further improve workplace safety and organisation, the floor was finished with a highly visible blue and yellow epoxy pedestrian walkway. This clearly designated pathway provides a dedicated route for pedestrians, helping separate foot traffic from operational work areas and improving overall site safety.
The Implementation
To implement this four-coat epoxy system, our team completed the below steps over a period of 5 days.
Floor Preparation:
As with any successful epoxy installation, preparation was critical. The existing concrete surface was mechanically prepared to remove contaminants and create the ideal profile for coating adhesion.
Four-Coat Epoxy System:
1. Primer Coat
– Applied to penetrate and bond with the prepared concrete substrate.
– Creates a strong foundation for subsequent coats.
2. Epoxy Squeegee Coat
– Helps fill minor imperfections in the concrete surface.
– Builds film thickness and improves overall durability.
3. High-Build (HS) Epoxy Coat
– Provides additional protection against abrasion, impact, and workshop traffic.
– Creates a smooth and consistent finish.
4. Polyurethane Topcoat
– Delivers enhanced wear resistance and long-term protection.
– Improves chemical resistance and ease of cleaning.
– Provides a professional finished appearance.

The Results
The completed system not only transformed the workshop into a cleaner, safer working environment but also delivered a professional appearance that reflects the high standards of the William Adams operation.
Key Outcomes:
- Durable floor coating designed to withstand heavy workshop use
- Reduced dust generation from exposed concrete surfaces
- Easier cleaning and maintenance
- Improved workshop presentation and professional appearance
- Enhanced safety through clearly marked pedestrian walkways
- Long-lasting protection for the underlying concrete substrate
The new epoxy flooring system provides William Adams with a practical and durable solution that will continue to support daily operations while maintaining a clean and professional workplace for years to come.
