Pro’s & Con’s of Single Pack Line Marking Paint

When it comes to line marking, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. We offer a range of options to suit different environments and performance requirements. One of our options is our single pack paint, which is particularly well suited to temporary markings or areas with low traffic.

In the above videos and listed below we have outlined the pro’s and con’s of this solution.

PRO’S:
Cost effective
This is one of the most affordable line marking solutions available, making it ideal for projects with tighter budgets or short-term requirements.

Fast to install
Application is straightforward and efficient, allowing for quick turnaround times and minimal disruption to your operations.

Can be installed over existing markings
In many cases, this paint can be installed directly over old line markings, reducing the need for extensive surface preparation or removal.

CON’S:
Wears out quickly
Compared to more durable systems, single pack paint will degrade faster, especially in higher traffic areas or under harsh conditions.

Doesn’t adhere without proper preparation
Without adequate preparation, the paint may not bond effectively to the surface, leading to premature failure.

Difficult to remove
Although it’s not a long-term solution, removing it can still be challenging and may require additional effort or specialised methods.

Difficult to keep clean
Over time, the surface can attract dirt and marks, which can impact visibility and overall appearance.

Long curing time
The paint requires sufficient time to cure properly, which may affect how quickly the area can be returned to full use.

Every site is different, and choosing the right line marking system depends on factors like traffic levels, surface condition, and expected lifespan.
